Avoiding Stir Crazy

We don't have mountains to hike, an ocean or beach to hang out on, we also don't have year-round nice weather to plan a bunch of cute date nights. It's easy to go stir crazy in the winter here, as much as I love staying in for cozy days/nights finding things to get us out of the house every so often is essential to our sanity!

Below is a list of cute date night ideas for you and your significant other or a group of friends to pick from for fun nights close to us!

I have broken it up into yummy eateries, fun places to grab a drink, cute coffee spots and seasonal date ideas!

46 North Pints & Provisions- Highly suggest the Swedish meatball dish!
Mezzaluna
84 Italian Steakhouse- Located in the Radisson Blu in downtown Fargo.
Vinyl Taco- I'm a sucker for tacos and margaritas.
Toasted Frog- Cheesy fried pickles, a must try!
Blarney Stone- I have not been yet, but Blarney took over the Ho-Do downtown and looks amazing from pictures! I'm excited to try!
Sirirath Thai House- Me and my dad's favorite lunch spot!
Plaza Azteca- I repeat I'm a sucker for Mexican and margaritas!
Mas Tequila- I repeattt I'm a sucker for Mexican and margaritas!

Wurst Bier Hall- A wide variety of drinks and beer to choose from along with delicous food!
Brew Bird- Such a cute spot with yummy food.
The Fireside- Located in Detroit Lakes, I've heard amazing things.
Lakeside Tavern and Brewery- Located in Detroit Lakes, yummy food, amazing veiws and good drinks!
Hub 41- Located in Detroit Lakes, good food and views!
Blue Moose Bar & Grill- Located in Grand Forks, one of my favorite places to visit when in GF!

701 Eateries- Camp Lone Tree & Prairie Kitchen are located here!! They also have igloos you can rent in the winter!

Plan an Activity

Cross country skiing or snowshoeing- We have plenty of snow for these! I always see people doing this when I take the animals for a walk through the park, it's something I want to try! It looks like fun and a good workout.
Ice Skating- This is such a fun date night, bring a hockey puck and a stick or just skate around! There's so many small rinks around town, and of course the picture worthy big ones Downtown and The Lights.
Fargo Force Hockey Game- I'm becoming a big fan of hockey, with Dylan being a coach. This is a fun date night!
Take a Cooking Class- Square One Kitchens hosts cooking classes in their commercial kitchen.
Book a Painting or Pottery Class- You can check Jansen Art Studio for pottery classes and Creatively Uncorked for painting classes!
Suite Shots- They have yummy food, simulators, and bays! A fun date night even if golf isn't your top pick for a sport.
Kingpinz- Delicious food and lots of activities to choose from. They have bowling, tons of arcade games, and laser tag!
Pixeled Brewing Co- Craft beers and arcade games!
Rough Cut Social- Have some drinks and throw some axes, what could go wrong!
Golf Addictions- For when you're missing summer and being on the course.
Attend a Comedy Night- The Cellar is a great place to search for comedy nights or maybe even open mic nights if you're feeling spunky!
Game Nights In- Run to target and grab a game or deck of cards and play some games in!
A virtual cooking class- There are also virtual cooking that you can sign up for, a fun activity for a snow day in.
Pixeled Brewing Co- Craft beers and arcade games!
Rough Cut Social- Have some drinks and throw some axes, what could go wrong!
Attend a Comedy Night- The Cellar is a great place to search for comedy nights or maybe even open mic nights if you're feeling spunky!
Detroit Mountain- You can go tubing, skiing and snowboarding and grab drinks and food between runs!

Caffeinate Yourself.

Thunder Coffee- One of my go-to coffee spots! I love the vibe here whether I'm stopping to work for a couple hours, hang out with friends, or having a coffee meeting.
Bully Brew- Yummy food and coffee!
Twenty Below- I love working in the Moorhead location, it's a great atmosphere!
Boppa's Bagels- I LOVE their bagels! The everything bagel is my go-to.
Bernbaum's- I haven't been here, but I've heard good things.
Atomic Coffee- Being able to look out the window and people watch is a good distraction when I'm stuck in work, another place I like planting myself to work!
Youngblood- A cute atmosphere and insta-worthy vibe!
Black Coffee and Waffle Bar- Amazing waffles with lots of options!
Boppa's Bagels- I LOVE their bagels! The everything bagel is my go-to.

Drekker- Some of my favorite local beers come from Drekker, a fun place to have a craft beer and play some games!
Bear Creek Winery- Yummy wine and great views!
Brew Bird- They have a variety of craft beers to choose from and a cute vibe.
Junk Yard- They are opening a sweet looking West Fargo Location, so excited!
Harolds on Main- I haven't been yet, but heard they have good drinks!

Staying Sane
