How I got here

My real estate career started in property management which I am super thankful for, I got the opportunity to learn and experience all sides of the industry. Before staring in property management, I searched for years for my passion, I was at a point in my life where I had changed my major 2 times, quit my marketing and daycare job, dropped out of college, and was getting over bartending as a side job after 6 years of staying up till 2 am. Not knowing what I wanted to do with my future anymore, I went to an employment agency, they helped me find a property management position, where I started in marketing and a leasing agent.

After delivering 3-day notices, doing move ins and move outs, reminding tenants to pay rent, and taking endless maintenance requests for 3 years I started to realize I loved real estate but wasn't where I wanted to be. (You definitely grow a hard shell working in property management, bless the souls whom thrive in it.) I did however learn that I loved looking at beautiful houses and helping people find their new safe space to call home. So, I started studying my butt off, took the classes and got my Real Estate License!

I finally found what I loved and what makes me happy, just when I was starting to think it was impossible. Something that I continuously am wanting to learn more about, and something I want to continue to grow in and am genuinely excited about. It's a good feeling to be following my dream of guiding clients through their real estate journeys. I get to help people find their safe space to call home and build wealth. Hands down there is no better feeling than knowing that my friends and strangers trust me with some of the biggest purchases they will make in life.

I get the opportunity to build partnerships and give my all to helping people reach their real estate goals throughout life. It fills my heart being invited into people's lives and help them rock all their real estate goals.

Today I am an expert Real Estate Agent who specializes in the Fargo-Moorhead, Whapeton-Breckenridge, and Lakes area, determined to deliver 110% in all real estate services.

What sets me apart

I'm a believer of going above and beyond for my clients. I have helped clients paint for a refresher, mowed the lawn if they were out of town to make sure it looks good for showings, and anything in-between. I also take professional photos for my clients and am not afraid to move things or give tips to help get the best pictures! Pictures are the first impression on a home.

In my blog I have lots of great tips and market updates, trying my best to add value to my clients and friend's lives. I am always willing to go to the extra mile to help clients reach their home goals! I think of my clients as friends who I'd go to battle for. I'm here for the long haul. The super cringy but true saying "friends come and go, but realtors are for life", I love because I truly hope to be apart of your journey and be apart of new chapters!

Whether you have a question, just want to say hey, or need to work through something, I'm always just a phone call or text away :)

Me

Kind. Motivated. Experienced. Connected. Always learning. Professional.

Hello and welcome! My name is Tera Walker. I grew up in Dawson MN, and after high school I attended North Dakota State University for Marketing. I now live in West Fargo with my golden retriever, Sammy, cats Ava and Alice. In my free time, I volunteer for BIO Girls as a mentor and site director, and a foster care provider for Turtle Mountain Animal Rescue. For hobbies, recently I've been loving juicing for myself and my side business FRESH. One passion of mine is flipping homes, being able to add value and getting to refresh a home is such a good feeling. In every free moment you'll find me with my animals, golfing, doing yoga, trying new recipes, playing tennis, and exploring new business ideas. I have always been a big fan of the outdoors and traveling. Any free weekend, you will likely find me camping, traveling, or spending days in the park. A few years back I went on a nine-day camping trip with Sammy at 3 months old, living out of my car and tenting through six states, it was refreshing to go off grid for a moment. I hope to plan another in the next couple years. I love to travel and explore any chance I can get! When I am not traveling, I am filling my calendar local events. Don't get me wrong I love chill nights in, but I'm addicted to being productive and can't stay complacent for long. Always looking to learn and try new things!

My favorite quote: "Don't focus on your goals. Instead focus on the habits that will take you to them. It's always you vs. you."
